Quantum Solutions announces a strategic partnership with Delmar Aerospace Corporation and its Canadian subsidiary Perspectum Drone Inspection Services Ltd. to deploy drone-based moisture intelligence services across the U.S. West Coast and Canada.
Through this partnership, Delmar Aerospace and Perspectum will utilize Quantum Solutions’ Q.Fly® Water system to deliver high-resolution water intelligence for applications including agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, and environmental management.
The collaboration brings together Quantum Solutions' Q.Fly® Water, developed and manufactured in the UK, with Delmar & Perspectum’s operational expertise and regional presence across North America. As a specialist UAS inspection company, Perspectum brings field-proven expertise across energy, infrastructure and environmental inspection in the region.
Delmar Aerospace & Perspectum will deploy Q.Fly® Water across the US West Coast and Canada. The drone-mounted system captures surface moisture in real time, delivering actionable water intelligence across agricultural land, critical infrastructure and environmental sites.
Together, the companies will offer end-to-end services - from drone data capture through to analysis and actionable reporting - spanning applications from precision irrigation and pipeline leak detection to wetland delineation and infrastructure inspection.
Beyond visible data
NDMI (Normalized Difference Moisture Index) is the standard index used by satellites for measuring water availability in vegetation and soil - but satellite NDMI is trapped by fixed orbits, cloud interference and a 20m resolution floor. Q.Fly® Water coordinates two water-sensitive wavebands to compute the same scientific index in real time, revealing moisture contrasts invisible to the eye at resolutions up to 2cm per pixel - bridging the gap between coarse satellite imagery and single-point ground sensors.
As water scarcity and climate pressures increase globally, demand is rising for higher-resolution environmental intelligence that can support better operational decision-making in agriculture, infrastructure management, and environmental monitoring.
