Earlier this month Point Geomatics Ltd., Calgary, Alberta, announced Its entry into the 3D laser scanning market. President Chris Tucker says the company uses Leica Geosystems HDS technology. Point Geomatics’ list of clients currently includes Colt Engineering, ProjEx Technologies, Ltd., The Focus Corporation, Syncrude Canada Ltd., and other major architectural and engineering firms as well as building and oil-and-gas owners.
