The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) recently completed the release of all beta products for the up-coming transition to the modernized National Spatial Reference System (NSRS). The new NSRS will replace NAVD88, NAD83 and the current State Plane Coordinate System in a generational transition that impacts all users of geospatial data. If you set control, run GNSS, georeference lidar or imagery, build or maintain GIS layers, or hand coordinates to a design team, your published values and your workflows will be impacted.
In this webinar, NGS will provide an update on the status of the modernized datums and tools, the transition timeline, and provide helpful information on how to prepare your organization and assess impacts to your workflows. The session will also cover what has come out of the beta release period and how that feedback is shaping the products on the way to final release.
