Intergraph says GEOS Pro software is Swiss market leader

Intergraph Corporation said Monday it will acquire longtime distribution partner a/m/t software service ag, a Swiss software firm serving the engineering and cadaster industries.

Intergraph is a global provider of engineering and geospatial software based in Huntsville, Ala.

It entered into a distribution partnership with a/m/t, located in Winterthur, Switzerland, 15 years ago with the release of new cadaster and land management software called GEOS Pro, which was developed based on Intergraph’s geographic information software product GeoMedia.

Intergraph said GEOS Pro is now the market leader in Switzerland and is now used for applications in urban planning and utility networks.

“We look forward to strengthening the already successful partnership between Intergraph and a/m/t/ software service,” said Marc Hänni, Intergraph country manager. “The addition of this innovative technology and the ingenuity of the a/m/t software service employees will bring additional customer value and address the ever-growing challenges of the market.”

Intergraph is a subsidiary of Switzerland-based Hexagon AB, also the parent company of Leica Geosystems.

Intergraph’s Process, Power & Marine (PP&M) division offers engineering software for the design, construction, operation and data management of plants, ships and offshore facilities.

“a/m/t software service is delighted to join Intergraph,” said Hugo Thalmann, CEO of a/m/t. “We believe that Intergraph’s global resources and technologies will allow us to further invest in our customers, software solutions and employees.”
