It’s the first day of Spring, the season of new beginnings. It’s also a perfect time to introduce Dan McGovern, the new editor of

For those of you who may have missed Sam Pfeifle’s departure, he left SPAR 3D at the end of February for a new position in the privacy industry. We thank Sam for his energy and contributions to the group including a mountain of editorial, increased readership of SPARView and an expanded website averaging over 20,000 visits per month.

We are delighted to welcome Dan, who joins SPAR 3D with nearly two decades of experience editing and writing for B2B media companies serving a wide range of industries. He was most recently founder and publisher of Triton News Corp., an independent, B2B e-media and consulting company.

As a business journalist, Dan’s credentials include a master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University, a Jesse H. Neal Award and numerous speaking engagements at industry conferences around the country.

He also brings to SPAR a strong editorial mission to deliver accuracy, context, fairness and transparency to readers as he continues our mission to provide award-winning news stories, blogs, video blogs, webinars and reports.

Dan is eager to forge productive relationships by engaging and listening to 3D industry professionals who are boosting productivity and efficiency, enhancing quality and safety, all while mitigating risk for the highest return on investment.

Dan has already started reaching out to some of you, and will plan to see many of you at his first industry event next month: SPAR International 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 15-18.

We encourage you to contact Dan prior to the event at [email protected] or 207-842-5676 or seek him out at SPAR International.
