ITI Releases CADfix 10

Milford, OH, March 24, 2015 – ITI announces the release of CADfix 10, the latest version of the leading CAD model translation, repair and simplification software. CADfix tackles the ever present problems of 3D model data exchange and re-use between different engineering applications. CADfix allows the user to import CAD models and efficiently repair and adapt them, before exporting to the most suitable format for re-use in the downstream system – eliminating expensive CAD model rework.

CADfix 10 automates the simplification of 3D mechanical designs (i.e. equipment, machines, and tooling) for insertion into 3D plant and process applications. Users of process engineering technology by Intergraph, Aveva, Bentley and Autodesk can decrease time-to-market and get to commissioning faster through CADfix’s automated processes that reduce hundreds of hours from plant designs.

CADfix quickly simplifies complex MCAD models for downstream use in 3D Plant & Process Technology

CADfix 10 also helps with the tricky task of reverse engineering faceted models such as STL into usable CAD geometry. New CADfix tools enable users to import a faceted model, automatically split it into regular regions for conversion into CAD surface geometry, and then export to CAD for design and analysis purposes.

“We are excited to be working with our customers in challenging new application areas using the advanced capabilities now in CADfix 10,” stated Andy Chinn, CADfix Business Development Manager. “We have added more conferences to our 2015 calendar, such as SPAR International 2015, in order to promote this technology. We believe this will be a great opportunity to meet with new customers and discuss how we can help solve their interoperability issues.”

Visit ITI at SPAR International Booth #705 in Houston, TX March 30th – April 2nd to learn how to:

  • Rapidly integrate equipment, machine and tooling data into your plant or factory layout
  • Improve interoperability between MCAD software and your plant and process engineering systems
  • Reduce large file sizes and protect your MCAD intellectual property
