FARO Hosts the 3DRV Driven by Design Tour

LAKE MARY, Fla., Sept. 5, 2014 — FARO Technologies, Inc., the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement, imaging, and realization technology, announced today that it will be hosting the 3DRV Driven by Design Tour Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM EST at the Corporate Headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida.

The upcoming event, co-sponsored by FARO, is hosted by Autodesk’s TJ McCue, journalist and 3D enthusiast, with the mission and goal to visit over 100 cities across America over the course of 8 months and celebrate the impact of 3D design, through customer stories, consumer creativity and student innovations. These documented accounts will discuss the impact that 3D laser scanning-to-3D print workflows is having within small to large organizations in their daily operations.

During the FARO Technologies stop, attendees will hear from local colleges and universities to see how today’s curriculums are incorporating innovative 3D technologies in helping to prepare the next generation for the workforce.

Live presentations from FARO Technologies, Autodesk, the University of South Florida’s Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies, University of Central Florida and Seminole State College will demonstrate the latest design and capabilities in 3D laser scanning and the process of transforming 3D point cloud data into printed models.
