FARO to Distribute INOVx Solutions

Bernd Becker, Director of Marketing & Product Management, FARO Technologies, Inc. (Lake Mary, FL), reports that his company recently concluded an agreement to provide INOVx Solutions (Irvine, CA) software bundled with FARO laser scanners as part of the company’s process and power offering. INOVx, a pioneer in providing 3D laser scanning software and services, specializes in asset management solutions based on models developed from scan data. Models developed with INOVx software can be exported to AutoCAD and MicroStation as well as plant design applications from AVEVA and Intergraph. FARO provides binary file access to its scanner data to both INOVx and BitWyse for its process and power industry solutions. The FARO Process and Power bundle based on INOVx software lists for $6000 (perpetual license); availability is scheduled for the end of May 2006.
