In this slightly perfunctory post on Vivedeveloper.com, you’ll find the announcement for an SDK to accompany the launch of VIVE Pro, the newest enterprise-grade VR headset. The SDK opens up a variety of tools to developers, who can now perform 3D perception and depth sensing with the AR headset’s stereo RGB sensors.
That means developers can access camera imagery as well as depth information and spatial maps (in either dynamic or static meshes). In addition to enabling 3D sensing, these updates will allow developers to create tools for placing and interacting with virtual objects.
These functions are powered by a Depth module, a See-through module, and a 3D reconstruction module. The SDK supports Unreal and Unity natively.
