SPAR 3D Expo & Conference, AEC Next Technology Expo & Conference Rescheduled to Take Place with Geo Week

The number of times I’ve used the word “unprecedented” over the past few weeks has been…well, unprecedented. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything and the complications from it are still unfolding while simultaneously being felt across the world and in every industry.

As a quick example of what’s that’s looked like in our space, ConExpo wrapped a day early while Geo Week had to be postponed. The situation continues to rapidly change and evolve to the point that it became obvious everything wouldn’t be settled by the time the AEC Next and SPAR 3D Expo and Conference were set to take place in June. That compelled the announcement today that the events have not only been rescheduled for the end of July, but that they’ll be co-located with Geo Week.

While there’s always been synergy between these events and audiences, that connection will be taken to another level as all of them take place together from July 27-29, 2020 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

“ILMF, SPAR 3D Expo & Conference, and AEC Next Technology Expo & Conference have always had crossover exhibitors and attendees,” said Lisa Murray, Group Director of ILMF/Geo Week at Diversified Communications. “When the need to reschedule became clear, we had many requests from our customers to have the events take place together. We’re pleased to be able to deliver on this in 2020 and deliver an even bigger and better combined event that serves multiple industries using data capture and visualization technologies.“

The ASPRS Annual Conference (ASPRS) had been set to take place during Geo Week, while the U.S. Institute of Building Documentation Symposium (USIBD) and the WIPFLI Building Tomorrow Together Summit (WIPFLI) were coming together with the AEC Next and SPAR 3D Expo and Conference. All of those events will still come together and take place in Chicago, creating a single event that allows attendees to experience a variety of products, education and networking.

“Co-locating will add value for everyone,” said Christine Salmon, Group Director of AEC/SPAR 3D. “Exhibitors will have access to additional categories of users, and attendees will be able to access additional technology on the combined exhibit floor. We look forward to connecting professionals in these communities.

More info about the exhibitors, speakers and sessions that will define all of these events will be coming out soon, so stay tuned for much more. There will be lots to talk about for what will undoubtedly be the biggest versions of all these events. You can learn more about all of the co-location partners via the link below.
