BELLEVUE CITY, Wash. – VirtualGrid announced this week the release of VRMesh v7.5, the latest version of its point cloud and mesh processing software. This new release addresses specifically the “high accuracy and efficiency in triangulation of large point clouds,” according to the press release.
Improvements over previous versions include faster data-reading speeds, thanks to a reorganization of the structure of data reading, allowing for faster retrieval and indexing; point cloud classification intended for better accuracy; a triangulation method designed to handle up to 100 million points; more tools for mesh repair; and better NURBS creation.
The release is intended, according to the release, to better serve customers in the defense, mining, urban design, transportation, manufacturing, medical, and dental fields.
