Neptec Design Group Ltd., Ottawa, ON, named Iain Christie president. Formerly director of R & D, Christie led development of the Laser Camera System (LCS) currently in orbit aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis to inspect the shuttle’s protective skin. Neptec CEO Paul Nephin announced other promotions at the same time. Mike Kearns is now vice president of automated rendezvous and docking sensors. Phil Church is vice president of military and industrial sensors. Also closely involved in Neptec’s space business is Larisa Beach, who continues as vice president of space robotic sensors.
