Merrick hires new Director of Federal Programs, Geospatial Solutions

AURORA, Colo. – Kasey A. Brown has joined Merrick & Company as Director of Federal Programs, Geospatial Solutions, the company announced this week. In this role, he will pursue business development opportunities within the U.S. Federal government throughout the U.S. 

Brown, based in the southeastern U.S., has been involved in high density aerial mapping and surveying for the majority of his career, with an emphasis on federal projects and military applications. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Multi-National Peacekeeping Award, among other recognition he received during his career with the U.S. Army. His education includes the University of Alabama-Huntsville, Pikes Peak Community College, the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation School, the U.S. Army Aviation School, and the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Candidate School.

Merrick’s most recent work geospatially includes providing lidar for the Texas Water Development Board, providing terrestrial scanning for Xcel Energy and acquiring lidar data for F.E. Warren Air Force Base and for a wind farm project. Merrick maintains nine offices in the U.S. as well as two offices in Mexico and an office in Canada.
