SPAR 2008 attendees are welcome to attend most sessions of FSM 2008, our co-located conference on forensic and security metrology, March 4-6, for no additional fee. (Some sessions are open to law enforcement only.) Automated face recognition, reconstruction of 3D scenes from 2D surveillance video and photography, “serious gaming” using 3D scan data to create high-fidelity virtual environments for training and security planning, measurement and visualization of IEDs – FSM 2008 will offer a wealth of tools and techniques with applicability well beyond their roots in crime scene investigation, accident reconstruction and security planning.
