Creaform 2012 financial results right on track

LÉVIS, QC– Creaform, a company that develops and manufactures portable 3D measurement and analysis technologies, announced its financial results for 2012 this week. With annual sales of C$44.5 million in 2012, the company experienced an organic growth of 19 percent over 2011. Technology sales from 2012 show a YoY growth of 38 percent , with 74 percent in 4Q. Significant efforts have been made to add CFD specialists to its FEA team of experts, resulting in an expanded portfolio of numerical simulation services.

“2012 has been an excellent year for Creaform,” said Martin Lamontagne, president and CEO of Creaform. “But what’s strikes the most is the success that we have had with our new releases. We were right on target in identifying and targeting the needs of the industry with the launch of the Go!SCAN 3D white light 3D scanner, and largely exceeded the number of units we had planned on selling. Furthermore, our new Pipecheck solution, launched at the end of 2011, has raised major interest among the NDT and oil and gas communities.”

Among Creaform’s various territories, the US and Japan particularly stood out in 2012, with a YoY growth of 60 percent and 32 percent respectively. The company also reports a 40 percent YoY growth in 2012 for its metrology technologies comprised of the HandyPROBE optical CMM,  the MaxSHOT 3D optical coordinate system and the MetraSCAN 3D CMM optical scanner, the latter showing an impressive 67 percent sales growth over 2011.
