John Robson, also known as late lunch, has made a career out of sophisticated video art. He’s in fairly wide demand, having worked on campaigns for Nike, IBM, and Northrop Grumman alongside videos for Coldplay and Gnarls Barkley. He’s also an expert troll.
Take exhibits A and B, Crowd Sim 1 and Crowd Sim 2. After Robson’s friend submitted himself to a “photoscan” (I’m guessing that means photogrammetry), the artist set to work on two really weird videos.
Referring to the first video, Robson said he repaid his friend’s generosity by making him “lord of the dance.” For the second, he made his friend “immortal.”
